Seth came to Orlando in the summer of 1996 and began work at Universal Studios. As a theatrical technician, he worked on the Ghostbusters Spooktacular, Terminator 2/3D, and Barney shows. Later, as an entertainment production coordinator and supervisor, he produced special events locally and around the country for clients such as Target, AAA, Wheel of Fortune, TNN and Transcontinental. Seth also supervised parades, haunted houses and events for Universal's Mardi Gras, Halloween Horror Nights, and Millennium New Year's celebrations. Seth began working with John DiDonna in 2000 on a Theatre Downtown production of The Rocky Horror Show. Since then they have collaborated on over a dozen productions, starting with The Ride Down Mt. Morgan. Seth served as Stage Manager and Assistant Director on that show, as well as Killer Joe and The Lonesome West for the SoulFire Traveling Medicine Show. Seth served as the Production Manager and Assistant Director for Memories and Mayhem and Tony & Tina's Wedding at the SoulFire Theatre and Dinner Experience in Lake Buena Vista. In 2004 Seth and John co-founded the Empty Spaces Theatre Co., through which they co-produced Oedipus the King, Stripped, and Ubu Roi. In 2004 Seth made his major Orlando directorial debut with The Rocky Horror Show at Theatre Downtown. In addition to directing the hit show, Seth also orchestrated the music and designed the set and multimedia projections. In 2005 Seth produced, directed, co-wrote, and performed in the controversial Fringe Festival hit Obscenity. He has also directed 5,4,3,2.1 and Parallel Lives: The Kathy and Mo Show for the Orlando Fringe, Go Left Right for Playfest at the Orlando Shakespeare Festival, and Antibabe: Shockers at AKA Lounge, among others. Seth has produced and performed in The Rocky Horror Picture Show for over 13 years. Currently he produces The Rich Weirdoes¸ performing regularly at the AMC Cineplex at Universal CityWalk. In addition to Rocky Horror, the troupe also performs "shadow-cast" renditions of Moulin Rouge!, Reefer Madness, and Clue. They have also participated in performance art and civic events like the Orlando Gay Pride Parade, AIDS Walk, and Zombie March '06. Previously, Seth produced the 2001 Orlando Rocky Horror fan convention, and founded Dark Refrain in Orlando and Queen William's Players in Williamsburg . Seth has performed in New Jersey and New York with the world-famous New York City Rocky Horror cast, and has at some point played every role in the show at least twice. Also in association with Rich Weirdoes, Seth has produced, directed, and performed in shows for Vulkon Entertainment fan conventions. In 2004 and 2006 he portrayed "Spike" in live productions of Once More With Feeling: The Buffy the Vampire Slayer Musical in Tampa, FL and Oakland, CA . As a technician and designer, Seth specializes in original multimedia projections. He has designed audio and video installations for The Vine (Bullshot Crummond, The Promise Comes After, Summer Cyclone, Best Christmas Pageant Ever), Theatre Downtown (POE), Terpsichore Collective (Jacked In) , the Rivership Romance, and others. He is also a computer database systems designer, with clients including Orange County Public Works, Universal Studios and Orange County Corrections Dept. As a writer, the Orlando Weekly, Jim Hill Media, and The Intrepid Traveler have published Seth's work. He covers the theatre, travel, and themed entertainment industries, and has written the first published reviews for a number of Orlando theme park attractions. His travel research can be read in the current edition of The Other Orlando guidebook. Seth's most recent projects include the Red Chair Affair at the Bob Carr Auditorium, Ubu Roi at the Orlando Shakespeare Festival, and the 2006 Fringe Festival All Hallows benefit. |
